Alright, some general rules and tips on submitting sprites:
.::'~'::.
Rules: RULES DO NOT APPLY TO ANY SPRITE ALREADY ACCEPTED!
1. I'm no longer accepting any sprites that are simple mixes of two pokémon or basic recolors. Three, I will consider. I'd like to not look at all of our pokémon and think "Oh, it's just a ______ with _______'s _____ pasted on it."
2. Stay away from the Eevee family. Stay awaaaaaaay.
3. Stay away from Pikachu. Awaaaaaaaay.
4. Stay away from Meowth, Persian, Raichu, Vulpix and Ninetails. Seriously. There are plenty other pokémon out there.
5. I'm not accepting any types over two (so no Fire/Flying/Dark, limit it to Fire/Flying or Fire/Dark), if you don't, I will.
6. Don't make ubers. I will limit their power if I accept them, so be aware.
7. Keep the Type List (above) in mind.

Tips: This is the part I really want to get into. =]
1. Take your time. The best things in life come with the most time, and this is even true for silly little sprites you might make. XD My sprites usually take an hour each.
2. Take breaks. Be able to leave one sprite alone if you're getting frustrated. If you head hurts, go outside for a few minutes, play with your pets, take a break to get small chores or hw out of the way.
3. Be creative. No idea what sort of pokémon to sprite? Go
here and hit one of the three 'Generate' buttons. No good ideas yet? Click it again. And again. Eventually, you should have a few good ideas. Or, put 10-20 sprites on one canvas, and pick something as a base, and as you see things you like from the rest... just be random! XD
- I'll be honest with you, trying to be creative is hard. Sometime it produces things that aren't so great.
I'm STILL trying to figure out what this is.
4. If you're a full-scale traditional/digital artist, try sketching out concept sketches, and then work out a way to sprite them.
5. Don't be afraid to use your own colors.
6. Just have fun!! There's really no pressure to crank out sprite after sprite for Tynri. XD
