Day One. Today was possibly the most nerve-raking day of my life. I started my journey, recieving my first Pokemon. My fears were beginning to overpower me as I turned that door handle. Professor Ash met me. His Pikachu is very sweet. I was very impressed by Ash's ability to speak Poketongue, and he speaks it almost flawlessly. He told me he had most species of Pokemon, including some shinies and ghosts. I asked to see the shinies, ghosts, and Growlithe. When I was looking to see which Pokemon I might like to have as a starter, I had dicided apon a Growlithe or Eevee. They had three Growlithe. One was ordinary, one shiny, and the other ghost and shiny. Two of them seemed friendly, but the ghost shiny seemed to have quite an attitude, and I instantly took a liking to it. Odd, how you can like the naughty one? Anyway, that Growlithe is now sitting beside me, watching intently as I record the day's events in this journal. His golden fur looks amazing, and I'm glad I chose him. He looks like a real fighter. I've dicided to call him Hinote, meaning `fire` in a forrein language.

Day Two
Today I made my way into Route One. Hinote got fed up with walking, so we stopped at a small lake to practice Hinote's ghost skills. He was floating across the lake, and was on his way back when he fell in! Being a fire type, he was growing weak in the water. I changed into my Pokemon form and swam in to save him. A green Espeon is much more agile and is a better swimmer than a human, so I reached him in no time. I pulled him up onto a rock, and all of a sudden, this baby Delibird burt out. It wailed for its mother, so, after swimming back to the river bank and becoming human again, Hinote and I promised it could come along, and will let it meet its mother in Magma Volcano. Until then, we will keep him safe. I've named him Shard.

Day Three Today Hinote heard a rustle in a bush. Strangely, and angry Chikorita jumped out! It used a Razor Leaf, but missed. It told us that next time it wouldn't, but I just think that was it being obnoctious. Hinote started battling it, but it then ran off. I followed it, not wanting to miss this opurtunity. Then an amazing sight caught our eyes. The same Chikorita was tending to its mate and newly hatched kids, Sira and Ria! It was truly amazing. The mother of the two little children was in a bad state, so I tended to it using a potion. It became better, and the father from ealier allowed me a chance to capture it. Hinote defeated it by giving it a burn, and I caught it! His name is Hino, and his mate and children are travelling with me.

Day Four Today we descided that, after our hard work, we would take a rest and play by the lake for a bit. Hinote would not go anywhere near the water, so him and I went looking for water Pokemon to help us in our upcoming gym battle in Magma City.
A glimmer of light shining in the middle of the lake caught my attention, and I caught a glimpse of a Dratini! Imagine seeing one of them, and one route one too! Hino and I gave in the chase. I went into my Pokemon form to swim down to the bottom, where Hino battled a Dratini and a Wadent single-handly!
We had almost defeated Dratini, when she suddenly swam off somewhere. Wadent, Hino and I followed. Dratini, or Anike, as she was called, had found a pearl! They explained their story. Apparently, Anike's family were under threat to trainers, and chose to evolve themselves in order to be able to escape. Both her parnts had made it to Dragonites, but she hadn't. Wadent was looking after her among the ruins of her home.
I untangled Anike from some water plants, and tied her pearl around her neck so she would never loose it again. I offered to take her with me and evolve her, and she almost agreed. If I won a battle, she would come along.
Her parents came to visit. They were truly an amazing sight, but they came at the wrong time; just when I had caught her. They caressed the Pokeball, and I explained that it was for the better. They realised that she had to leave them someday, and gave her a gift- another pearl, attached to her Pokeball. I'm looking at it as I write. It was rather sad to catch her, but she seems to have settled down well. Next stop, Magma City!

Day Five Ah, Magma City at last. This place is hard to discribe. It's big, hot, full of people, but has a certain feeling about it, like something's not quite right. I think it's something to do with the weird people walking about in the same red uniform, a large 'M' embroided on the back. I healed my Pokemon first, then headed to the gym.
Cherry used Sunny Day to light up the dark maze of the gym. I made my way to Ember without running into any trainers, thankfully! She was really tough to beat. Her Pokemon were a Charmander and Pyrokit. I've earned my Magma Badge now, though!
