The recording of my memoirs
August 5th
It's the start of my travels in this region, the Tynri Region. It's been an interesting journey learning about Pokemon first-hand, as opposed to all the various stories that my relatives and other various members of the troupe told me.
The first person I've met on this region is a professor of Pokemon, a Professor Ash Ketchum. It's strange...he sounds familiar. Maybe he was the near legendary trainer that traveled the world in the pursuit of his own dream? I wish I'd thought of that at the time, I might have asked him of his travels. Maybe I'll visit him again someday.
In any case, the first Pokemon that I have adopted from the Element Labs there is a Meowkip, a Pokemon I'd never heard of (not saying much since I never knew there were so many new Pokemon I'd never heard of). She apparently has the ability to sing an interesting tune by nature as opposed to technique, which is why I adopted her, but she didn't trust me at the time. I'm still hoping that will change, but I have to give her time.
The next stage so far is that I have traveled through Route 1, between the Labs and the next city, the Magma City. There I've had some experiences that have given me into an insight into this world.
For one thing, I have captured a Pokemon, a Kricketot whom I have named Beat. His antennae remind me of a xylophone - so I am certain he will be a valuable friend to have with me. However, the battle to gain his trust was more arduous than I thought - mainly because my battle experience is lacking. Still, I'm not planning to be a battler, which is quite fine by me.
Another experience happened when I had a disagreement with a Buizel. I'd attacked it (not personally!), but I'd had no idea that it was looking after it's own family, trying to save them from me, whom he must have assumed I wanted to capture. I can't believe that people can actually tear apart Pokemon with this much ease. That's why as of then, I made an oath not to catch any Pokemon that would tear apart a family. But what I fear is that someday I may have to challenge that decision.
Oh, and I had some strange postman come and deliver a Teddiursa to me, whom I have nicknamed Kuno. He's quite an excitable young boy, despite getting scared in some situations. I can't blame him though - so do I, to be honest.
We've finally reached Magma City, the City at the end of Route 1, and I hope to start busking in order to gain some money for the continuation of my trip, and to further bolster my Pokemon Orchestra. I still wonder what fate holds for me next, but that is something I shall have to wait and see for.
Until next entry,
