Entry: I have started writing in this old notebook today, to document what has happened on my pokemon journey. It is a journal, not a diary... though in truth it is a tattered old notebook that you could show to a caveman and the response would be "Hey, I have one just like it". Today, I have started my journey off with a shiny squirtle. It's wierd that they call them shiny, as they are simply different colors that regular pokemon, and they don't shine at all. I also was given a new backpack by a strange girl dressed completely in blue. I am glad, since the only pocket on my old one that could actually hold anything was the main compartment. After the nervous experience in the human village, I finally got to get back into the woods. Towns are so oddly crowded, even with no people around. They freak me out. On this route, I found a skitorita, an odd pokemon that I have never seen before, though it slightly resembles a skitty. It asked me not to eat it, though I have no clue why. I look almost completely human, I don't know how some some ears, a tail, and some teeth and claws can make me look like the type that would eat a poor innocent pokemon. Well, I'll figure that out in time. Nothing else is happening, so I will stop writing and give you the latest update tomorrow. Goodbye!

Entry: I have caught the skitorita. It wanted to come, mainly because my life is so full of 'Danger, evil, and an adventure of some sort'. That is one very odd pokemon, since I am really trying to avoid these things... except the adventure, of course. After this, I continued through the route to find a poliwag. Apparently, some of the pokemon around here had been eaten by a fearow. The fearow came, and I battled it, accidentally knocking it into the river. I am now trying to get it out, though it's completely against the point. I really shouldn't have been so mean, but it might have eaten the poliwag. The fearow isn't accepting Aqua's help, though, and that is all that has happened so far... we'll see what happens when it happens. Until then.

Entry: Sorry it's been a while since I wrote here last! I got out the fearow, but being stubborn he insisted the single hydro pump able to knock him out of the sky was a lucky shot. I guess I'm not exactly the peak of character though, because I taunted him a little bit... or a little more than a little bit... and before I knew it I was in mightyena form battling it out. It was very odd, since I learned double team a while back, and it knew mirror move... so nine of me versus nine of him. After a while, I won, and I got complete hero-worship from the citizens of the lake for a while, until I left. The poliwag from earlier tagged along, and a totodile came up to me just to say it would never come... though it kind of defies the point of walking up to me. After getting so close to the city it was easily seen, I was tackled by a zigzagoon. It's very playful, and it seems to be in a everlasting sugar-rush. I have to go to the next city soon, though, so I might have to leave it if it doesn't come with me. I'll tell you if I get the zigzagoon later, once I'm in the city. Bye for now!

Entry: Yeah, I caught the zigzagoon, big deal! I've been found! They must have caught up to me... how'd they know I was here? Do I have a tracker? Why'd they wait all these months until I was in a different region? Who? The Magmas, Team Magma is right here in the city! I'm not freaking out! Really! This is probably my last entry, you aren't allowed any posessions of any kind in Magma Labs... so what if I'm paranoid...

Entry: Yes, I am writing here once again. This means I am alive, well, and not in a research facility. Apparently, nobody seems to know I've escaped, or at least they don't think it was me. I prefer it that way. Not existing is better than existing and being chased by Magmas your whole life. I have beaten the Gym Leader, who was also the leader of Team Magma; Ember. It's obvious I'd win, water beats fire almost every time; that's why Team Aqua is superior. I've stocked up on supplies, and I'm heading to Magma Volcano, to climb it. Why? I was specifically told by Ember not to. That's good enough for me. Until then, seeya.

Entry: I had almost forgotten about this tattered journal, until it fell out of my bag while some pokemon were searching it. A long story there, one which I feel I must write here. Well, to start with, there was Magma volcano. That was an interesting experience. I had put the puzzle pieces together once I got to the top; Team Magma was camping out in the city below because of the colony of Groundon right above their heads! Obviously someone had informed them that there were legendary pokemon on that mountain, so they had come. It appears that the fools have not managed to capture a Groundon yet... which is good, considering what they could do with one. Having only fire pokemon to go against them, it is understandable. And yet I, with superior water pokemon, have successfully captured my first legend. It's a fire type, but it's a start, right? Maybe it's sister pokemon, Kyogre, will show up during my journey. It is impossible to say, but I sincerely hope so. A vulpix who had been following me up the mountain for a bit watched the battle, and kept giving me scornful looks. I wish it hadn't, I actually feel quite bad about capturing the legend. I don't know whether that's good or bad... to be emotionless is, quite often, to be powerful, but emotions make us human... Heh, but I'm not really human am I? Still, I know that I must cling to humanity, and so I asked the pokemon to come with me. The two of us continued to an odd route, a place that had once been a river before a small eruption from the volcano above. Half the area was covered in magma, which cooled to become a route of fire and water pokemon living harmoniously. It is a very odd thing, and I almost would have expected the water pokemon to drive their inferiors out, but I know that pokemon do not usually resort to violence. They adapted, and they seem happy together. Still, I find it a bit odd. It was on this route that I found some pokemon playing Marco Polo. I never knew pokemon knew of it, but being near a village I suppose they must have picked up a few things. I also met some pokemon who seemed to be scientists, like how humans study pokemon... only the other way around. They walked around me, sizing me up, and among other things searched my belongings. That is when the journal fell out. I have started a battle with a charmander who was the referee of Marco Polo, and under observation from the scientists I wanted to act like I had no advantage, but still win easily. So I used Venture's assist attack to borrow moves, hopefully from my water pokemon. My plan failed, however, when she borrowed Scout's transform attack and became a charmander. I now have no advantage, and perhaps even a disadvantage. I never learned a charmander's moveset! I hope this battle will end well, since I'm running out of usable pokemon at this point. I'll be sure to write the results here when I'm done. Until then.

Entry: The charmander's capture was successful, and now I'm in Aqua Village... which might have my father somewhere in it. I completely forgot that we were going to be relocated to Tynri... and there are Aquas here. So there's a high chance... I just hope... do I really hope he isn't here? Maybe I want to see him, I don't even know anymore. But what would he think of me now? He was always one of those people who insisted that creatures were born the way they were for a reason, and that it's not anybody's place to change that. Once he heard that Team Magma, Rocket and a few others had started gene-splicing some new concoctions called 'Pokemorphs'... well, long story short. He doesn't like them. He thinks their very existence defies nature, or something. He just can't know that his only son is a 'morph... nobody else could know, he has a reputation... I'm an embarrassment, even if he did accept me. The problem is that I'm in the village, I have to beat the gym leader... which is him, if I'm correct. So now I've got a choice. I can tell him. Or I could not. He'll probably recognize me anyway, and what then? Of all the regions I could have come to, this had to be the one... fate really hates me.

Date: June 13, AKA Friday the 13th. Go figure.
Entry: Well... where to start? I feel like I'm a completely different person than the strange little morph who wrote the last page. He didn't have a place in the world. I do. You have no idea how great this feels, that I'm finally accepted. Well, not by everyone, but by my father. Yes, I found him. Yes, he knew it was me, after a while. He understands, and when this journey is over, I'm coming back to him.
I battled him, and won. Unfortunately, Dex took a beating, and will be looked after in the Pokemon Center for a while. I'll have to take the next route without him and have him shipped to the next city... I hope I can manage without my best electric pokemon. Speaking of the next route, I've got a theory; if Magma Volcano was hiding something, maybe Aqua Waterfall is too. Of course, the Aquas could just be out to inhibit progress of the Magma's plans, but... it seems only fitting, doesn't it? ...Well, maybe not. That perfect symmetry would be more suited to the plot of some video game...

Entry: Looking back on the last page... second sentence... I don't feel like the one who wrote that, either. Just when you think you finally know something, or someone, they decide to change just to throw you off. My final decision, I hope... is to eliminate Teams Magma and Aqua. Because I've seen what they do, now... there is no 'lesser evil', or 'honor amongst thieves'. Wrong is wrong. And I've always known that Team Aqua was wrong, I just tried to ignore it. But, I'm trying to move on. To keep my log going; from my last entry, I've found and befriended a Kyogre that Team Aqua had tortured, bought a few HMs in a sale, flown back to Aqua Village to get in a fight with my father, and flown back to have a battle in the Volt Gym. I'll try and explain more once my head's cleared...
